I'm on Pinterest religiously and I love pinning crafts and DIY projects. Well one pin said to reuse jars and that's when I got the idea to reuse a pickle and pickle relish jar as a makeup brush holder. I wanted the jars to display my personality so I got some jewels and ribbon so I could get started. You only need 3-4 things depending on how many jars you are decorating and how many different styles you are going for but the list is: a jar (any jar from around the house), ribbon ($2 at Walmart), craft glue ($8 for 4 tubes at Hobby Lobby) and jewels ($14.99 for a pound at hobby lobby; I used my 40% off coupon they have online).
I applied the glue on the jar and started placing jewels over the glue. I did this until I was finished. When it came to using the ribbon, I had to measure vertically how the jar was so I could cut the ribbon accordingly. As I did with the previous jar, I applied glue over the jar and placed ribbon on top of the glue all the way around the jar until I finished. I didn't place the glue all over the jar at once, I glued then added the ribbon one at a time if you put glue all over the jar at once, it will dry and you will waste glue. Here are the finished products.
Aren't they just adorbs?! Lol anywho this was a fun and cheap way to keep up with your makeup brushes. The jars can actually be used for multiple things. My daughter wants one for her stuff now. What stuff I have no clue but that's something to do on our family night. This is so simple, anyone can do it! Have fun and enjoy..
